Christmas Part #3...Diamonds??!!!

Once we made it back to Mississippi, we walked into a house fulllll of family members. There were about 45 of them, which apparently was only about half of the Donald side of the family. I got to meet a lot of new people, which was nice. But I was glad when it was time to relax and lay down and spend some time with Chris. The next few days were very nice. I was able to spend some good time with the man I love before he went out on the road again.

In all of this blogging I have been doing the past hour... I have yet to show you what Chris got me for Christmas. I must say, he knows how to pick them! He gave me a beautiful gift, well actually gift's.
Yes, Ladies...its real. Lol. Its from the Jane collection, "open hearts" from Kays. I love it!! I had to send the ring off to get sized and I can not wait until it comes back! It was killing me not being able to wear it. But I wear the necklace every day. He did a great job!! He is so good to me. :)
I know there are some things that I left out in these blogs... but there was so much it is hard for me to keep up with the timelines and all. Like right now I am remember something I didnt post... opening gifts with Chris's family. Lol. But all I can say is that these past 5 days have been wonderful! I packed up Chris and all his goodies for a few weeks Tuesday night, and yes, I got teary eyed. And wednesday he pulled out and went back on the road. I miss him terribly.
Until next time... :)

Christmas Part #2

Chris and I arrived at my parents house around 6 Saturday evening and they showed up a few mins later after attending a Christmas eve service. Mom always makes a bunch of goodies, snacks and what nots for Christmas Eve and tradinationally (as of a few years ago) we open our stockings as a family one Christmas Eve night.
Chris opening his stocking... He got chocolate covered peanuts...humm cant kiss me when you eat them baby! lol.

Mom opening hers.

Nose hair trimmers... inside joke! lol.

This is a priceless photo! Dad relaxed in his chair, doing a crossword, and wearing his new santa hat.

Christmas Eve night ended nicely... with everyone tired and ready for bed! Christmas morning around the Moorer house has never really started at the crack of dawn like most families with children...or even just grown adults. Lol. My parents were up around 5:30, Chris was up next, bless his heart he spent about 2 hours with my parents before he finally came out to my place and woke me up. Then we all got Jared up. Mom and Dad made breakfast for us and while we were all sitting around the living room, someone finally opened up the idea of opening presents. Haha. So, as usual, we all sat in a circle around the living room, passed everyones gifts out, and one at a time (to make it longer) we opened gifts.

watch out for a trick...

LOL. This was the gift from my parents. It will surely keep him nice and warm on this winter and northern trips!

Everyone loves this kind of gift!
We all enjoyed our gifts and sharing fun memories with each other. Mom and dad made a wonderful steak lunch... thanks to Nana who sends us steaks every year for Christmas. But after lunch, Chris and I had to load up and head back up to Mississippi for another family gathering. ***Continue to Christmas Part #3***

Christmas Part #1

"Lots of people to see, traveling to do, and food to eat!" Yes, this was the motto of our Christmas this year! Lets see, I will try to go through this as quickly as possible without leaving out any of the good stuff. hehe.
Thursday, (two days before Christmas) I drove up to Mississippi to Chris's moms house. He was supposed to be getting in early that next morning and his older brother and his family were in town so I headed on up. It was my first time meeting Derell, Lorie, and their kids, but I really enjoyed it! We spent most of that night just talking and sitting around. I was so excited to see Chris, but with his job there are a lot of uncertainties. This is really the biggest part I don't like. Where as he was supposed to be home early Friday morning, he didn't pull into the yard until that night around 6:30. Friday was one of the longest days for me! But, I did enjoy the fact that others were there to make it go by a little faster. I really enjoyed getting to know Lorie. She is someone I can easily relate to. Good to know my future sister in law and I can get along, right! :) Later that evening everyone but myself had to go to town and see some people, I stayed behind, hoping that Chris would be home soon......
Yay!!!! He made it! This was a pic of when he first pulled up in front of the house! I was one very happy girl! Our greetings were sweet and I didn't let go of him for I know a good while. Finally went in the house, got settled and waited for everyone else to get home. So... everyone comes home, everyone loves on Chris, everyone goes to bed. Lol.
Christmas Eve: Chris and I spent the morning and some of the afternoon with his mom and family. His brother and Lorie were having to leave really early Christmas morning so we enjoyed them and the kids as long as possible. But for the most part, we all were just around the house. We all ended up outside for family pictures. This was fun... and playing outside afterward was nice to. I love being in the outdoors. And the weather was just right!
No, we didnt really all wear santa hats lol. I edited them in!

After family pictures we spent a good while just hanging out outside, playing in Chris's truck and enjoying each others company. The kids chased each other around, Jonanthan was taking pictures of everyone, and then it was truck horn blowing time. Lol.
